When was the last time you received a personal, handwritten letter? not an email, but a piece of paper with words on them written in pen or pencil? Not a text message written by your thumb, but a message written by your hand?

High school English teacher, Ivana Markovic, has brought personal, handwritten letters back to the forefront.

 

Ivana has incorporated the 2 Paycheques away.. legacy book into her lesson plan and created a writing project for her students. The task of the project is simple: write a letter to someone featured in the book and to share how these story inspired their lives as a young adult.

"This is more than a simple letter. it's a salutation" says Ivana. By having the underlining theme of her project to included mental health awareness, this project gives these young adults a first hand look into just how much your life can be turned completely upside down without warning and that we're all just 2 paycheques away.
