Wabi-Sabi

Wabi Sabi Stephen Quissy

Wabi-Sabi is a Japanese philosophy that bestows a more connected way of living. Wabi is about recognizing beauty in simplicity and Sabi focuses on the passage of time, the way things grow and age. Together these two concepts create a unique philosophy for approaching life.

Art teacher and fellow photographer Stephen Quissy has designed a class project using Wabi-Sabi as a  teaching tool to help his students find the most natural objects and people fascinating. Photography and painting have many similarities, combining the two art forms under the themes of Wabi-Sabi Stephen adds a new layer to the meaning of seeing things in a different light.

We couldn't be more thankful, humbled and thrilled to be part of the education which helps the growth of the future artists of the world.
